Thanks to your ongoing support we have accomplished a lot this year. Our message of hope has been heard by the United Nations and the leaders of the world in Copenhagen and the new climate change discoveries we report have reached the schools and universities throughout Canada.
In the coming months we will be bringing our message to more scientific, environmental, political and educational venues the world over. Places like Oslo, Norway for the International Polar Year Science Conference; Barcelona, Spain for the 17th Annual International Environmental Film Festival; the University of Calgary; the Swansea Bay International Film Festival in Wales; the Wildscreen Environmental Film Awards in Bristol, England; the International Environmental Film Festival in Missoula, Montana; and the Sao Paolo International Film Festival in Brazil.
The scientific community has responded very favorably to our work this year. Often misquoted and taken out of context, our first-hand interviews with scientists have delivered their important information to the masses with accuracy and objectivity.
As a result, we have been invited by expedition organizers
ArcticNet to document their next scientific exploration of the Northwest Passage. Now that warming temperatures have melted large areas of the Arctic Ocean, a crossing from the Beaufort Sea to Labrador is now possible.
It is my pleasure to announce our new film –
The Polar Explorer – will present these new findings in an HD documentary feature available next Spring. The film will also compare and contrast the new climate change discoveries being made in Antarctica this year. New species of marine life from both ends of the planet will be seen for the very first time!
